Obituary of PHAM VAN THUA
Phạm Văn Thừa
It is with great sadness we announce the peaceful passing of a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, Phạm Văn Thừa, on March 31, 2019.
Dad moved to Canada in 1991 where he spent most of his time caring for his grandchildren. He adored his grandchildren and great-grand children who meant the world to him. The generosity and compassion he showed them will not be forgotten. He is survived by his 9 children (Cuong (Hang), Dung (Yen), Lan, Phuc (Uyen), Hai, Loc (Thu), Thomas (Janet), Lai (Quyen), and Dinh), 12 grandchildren (Kathy (Jay), Kevin, Michael (Channa), Michelle, Danny, Tiffany, Tracey, Tammy, Emily, Kaylah, Phillip and Andrew) and 4 great grandchildren (Ziya, Amir, Zayn, and Avi).
Dad gave tirelessly of himself and showed his love and concern through his endless support. He touched many lives with his kindness. He will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
A funeral service for Dad will be held on Thursday, April 4 between 7:30 pm and 9:30 pm at St Philip Minh Catholic Church (615 Lafleche Street) followed by a funeral mass on Friday, April 5, 2019 at 2:00 pm at St Philip Minh Catholic Church (615 Lafleche Street).
