It is with deep sadness we announce the
unexpected passing of Patrick Joseph
Gauthier, age 58, of Athol, NS. Patrick died
suddenly at home on Sunday, April 21, 2019 with his wife Melissa by
his side.
Born in Amherst, NS, he was a son of the
late Felix and Suzanne (Legere) Gauthier.
Patrick will be remembered for his
beautiful sense of humor and kindness to all. He was an avid
fisherman and loved the outdoors. Patrick worked for
Corrections Services Canada CORCAN Construction.
A beloved husband and father, he will be
dearly missed by his wife Melissa, Athol, NS, his daughter Beatrice,
Athol, NS; siblings Geraldine (Ralph) Farrell, Charlottetown, PE, Paul
(Judy) Gauthier, Truemanville, NS, Gloria (Paul) Jenkins, Winslow, PE,
Grace (Calvin) Haines, St. Stephen, NB; many special nieces, nephews
and cousins.
He was predeceased by his brother
Peter.
Arrangements are under the care and
supervision of the Jones Family Funeral
Centre, 70 Church Street, Amherst (902-667-8777) from
where visitation will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 from 12:30
pm until the time of the funeral at 2 pm. Rev. Elizabeth
Davies presiding. Interment will be held in the Athol
Cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory of Patrick may be
made to the charity of your choice.
Patrick’s family would like to extend
heartfelt thanks to their neighbours and community who came to their
aid so quickly during their hour of need.
