Louisbourg
It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we, the family, announce the sudden passing of an amazing father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Gordon Daniel Paige on Friday, April 5, 2019 at home. Born on February 15, 1945 in Big Lorraine, Gordon was the son of the late Gordon and Minnie (Eavis) Paige.
Gordon was a hard-working man, who spent most of his life working in the auto body industry. Locally, he was a best known for his kind personality, sarcastic sense of humor, and taking his good old time getting the job done right.
He enjoyed his work but nothing in his life compared to Gordon’s family. Gordon will be reunited, at last, with his best friend and loving wife, Faye. Gordon and Faye had been together since their early teen years. Their hearts will always belong to each other. Together, their love built a beautiful family. Gordon will be missed by all who knew him.
Gordon is survived by his three children, Michele (Guy), Annette (David) and Gordie (Cathy); grandchildren, Trenton (Karlee), Carson (Karen-Lynn), Josh (Shanon), Austin (Sierra), Nicolas, David Alexander, Ryan, and special great-grandson, Watson. Gordon is also survived by several nieces, nephews, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law and his two four legged companions, Ruger and Bently.
Besides his parents and wife, Gordon was predeceased by his only sibling, Henry.
Visitation and memorial service for the late Gordon Daniel Paige will be held Tuesday, April 9, 2019 in St. Bartholomew’s Church, Louisbourg. Gathering of family friends will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with memorial service to follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Peter Rafuse officiating. Interment will take place at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Gordon may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or charity of one’s choice.
Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care and direction of Pier Community Funeral Home.
Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of PAIGE Gordon Daniel 2019..
