On April 4, 2019, Helmut Hinteregger our loving husband, devoted father and Opa passed away. Helmut was born in Villach, Austria on July 31, 1943 and came to Canada at the age of 13 years.
He is survived by his loving wife, Helen; son, Rick (Marion), grandchildren, Matthew and Mark, son, Dave (Carrie), grandchildren Holly and Jordan; and sister, Gertrud. Predeceased by his parents, Hilda Moeckl and Frank Hinteregger; and brothers, Frank and Rudy Hinteregger.
As the founder of Concept Homes he is known to all as someone who gave of himself, without expectation. Helmut was responsible and never waivered from his standards. He stood by his ethics and core values of honesty, integrity, and dignity in both his personal and professional life. He was a true leader and an inspiration to many.
Thank you to Dr. Zayani, Dr. Bailey, Dr. Owen and all of the nurses and staff at Foyer Lacombe for the care and comfort they provided.
Prayer Service Wednesday, April 10 at 7:30 p.m. at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church, 17511 – 112 Street.
Funeral Mass Friday, April 12 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Roman Catholic Church. Reverend Edward McSheffrey OMI officiating with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, 14611 Mark Messier Trail. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Kids with Cancer Society House, 11135 – 84 Avenue, Edmonton, AB T6G 0V9.
