Moira Aspel
Moira Aspel, resident of Grande Prairie, AB, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019, at the age of 78 years.
Moira was born September 3, 1940 in Sutton, Surrey, England. Her father died during the war. Her mother married Everette Nash. When the war was over, Moira moved to Canada along with her mother Catherine “Kitty” and her brother Colin. They settled in the La Glace area with Everette. Everette and Kitty had a daughter named Claudette in 1947.
In the late 1950’s Moira married Gary Finley and they lived in Redding, California. They had two children Zane and Sherry. When the children were in their teens, Gary and Moira divorced.
Later, Moira married Bill Aspel. They came to live in the smith area. Bill died in 1994. At the time of her passing, Moira was living at The Gardens.
Moira will be sadly missed by her children Zane Finley and Sherry French; grandchildren: Jennifer Byrd, Christina Van Ert, Daniel Lucas, Justin Finley, and Matthew Finley; two great-grandchildren Kane Byrd and Addison Byrd.
She was predeceased by her mother Catherine Nash, step-father Everett Nash, and husband Bill Aspel.
As per Moira’s wishes, no funeral service will be held.
