Millicent Rose Chesley
Millicent R.
Chesley, 56, of Moncton, passed away peacefully at The Moncton
Hospital on Thursday, April 4,
2019.
Born in
Mary’s Harbour, Newfoundland and Labrador, the daughter of
the late Benjamin and Fay Smith (née Rumbolt). Millicent
was a dedicated Social Worker, having worked throughout Atlantic
Canada. She was a member of St. James Anglican Church and a faithful
volunteer and Team Captain for many years with the Canadian Cancer

Her passion
for her work was second only to her love for her family. She enjoyed
spending time with her children, granddaughter and extended family.
Millicent was particularly fond of visiting the cottage in Pocologan,
NB, travelling to new destinations, and hiking in Fundy National Park,
which held a special place in her
heart.
Millicent
will be sadly missed by her loving husband, Jerry Chesley of Moncton;
children, Jeremy Smith (Tanya) of Paradise, NL, David Chesley and
Elizabeth Chesley, both of Moncton; cherished granddaughter, Ava
Smith; brothers, Steadman Smith (Donna) and Harrison Smith (Betty);
sisters, Greta Valvasori (Vince), Eleanor King (Gene) and Marie Snook
(late Lewis); sister-in-law, Clara Smith; dear niece, Jeanette Curl
and many other loving nieces, nephews and extended family
members.
She was
predeceased by her brothers, Bernard Smith and Jordan Smith (Clara),
and nephew, Cleon Smith.

for family and friends to celebrate and share memories of Millicent
will be held at Fergusons Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton
(858-1995) on Wednesday, April 10, 2019 from 6:00 to 9:00
