Mildred Girvan
1919-2019
With her family by her side, Mildred Grace Girvan of Kincardine, NB,
passed away peacefully at the Victoria Glen Manor on April 17,
2019.
Mildred was born in West Branch, Kent Co., NB on December 19, 1919.
She was the daughter of the late Smith and Mae (McLeod) Morton.
Mildred leaves behind her daughters, Joan Higgins (Robert) of
Lakeland, FL, Judy Murchison (Jeff) of Fort Fairfield, ME, Joyce Shaw
(Ron) of Harvey Station, NB, Linda Fournier (Garry) of Carlingford,
NB; her sons, Bill Girvan (Paula) of Kincardine, NB, Larry Girvan
(Andrea) of Fort Fairfield, NB, Gerald Girvan (Valerie) of Upper
Kintore, NB, Roy Girvan (Vera) of Hartland, NB; her sister, Edna
Parker of Moncton, NB; her daughter-in-law, Peggi Girvan of Grand
Falls, NL; her brother-in-law, Gordon Girvan of Rexton, NB; 22
grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great great
grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
Mildred was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Garnet Girvan;
her son, Gary Girvan; her infant grandson, Michael Girvan; along with
several brothers and sisters.
Mildred was a retired longtime school teacher. She was also a member
of the Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter Electra #9.
Resting at Brunswick Funeral Home with visitation on Tuesday from 12-2
pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 at 2 pm
from the funeral home. Rev. Alan Vaughan officiating. Interment will
be in the Melville United Church Cemetery, Kincadine, NB at a later
date.
For those who wish, memorial donations to the Victoria Glen Manor
would be appreciated by the family.
