Michael William Anderson
1952 – 2019
It is with great sadness that the family announce the passing of Michael on April 15, 2019.
He was predeceased by his parents William and Elsie and his son Robbie, and is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Karin, his daughter Danita (Fergie), his stepsons Chris (Theresa), Mark (Tina) and Jamie (Kali), his grandchildren Ashley, Allissa, Courtenay, Katie, Cassie, Connor, Mariah and Emma, his great grandson Hunter and his dearest sister Phyllis
Michael was born March 12, 1952 in Wolfville NS and he grew up in Mahone Bay, NS. With his love of the blues, he loved to sing and make people laugh, he was always the entertainer. Known as the Iceman and the Fatman, he travelled all over the Island making lots of new friends along the way. He would share his love of singing with kids of all ages and put on concerts with kids in support of children’s charities. He then became a long-haul truck driver, travelling between Canada and USA. He really loved his family and enjoyed it when they would visit, lots of food and laughs. He loved to sail and had a collection of RC boats that he would have fun with. He was loud and boisterous, he enjoyed life.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 4, 2019 from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM at # 29 – 5558 Beaver Creek Road, Port Alberni.
