McLeod – Phyllis Leona, 73, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully in Queens Manor on Saturday, March 30, 2019.
Born in South West Port Mouton, Phyllis was a daughter of the late William and Peggy “Evangeline” (Roy) Roy.
Phyllis worked at Seaside Seafoods in Hunts Point in her earlier years and she also spent many years working as a Continuing Care Assistant and a home maker. Phyllis was full of life and was always up for a good time. She was well known for her love of bright colors, her love of decorating and stripping antiques. She also enjoyed dancing, doing crafts, knitting and sewing. Phyllis had a great sense of humor and a warm loving heart.
She is survived by daughters, Laurie Ann McLeod Daury, of Truro, Tiffany McLeod (Joey Oickle), of Port Medway; grandchildren, Jimmy Lee, Dylan, Clay, Kenny, Jenny, Damian and Hunter; great grandchildren, Treyson, Devina and Chevy; sister, Myra Dalby.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of Chandlers’ Funeral Home, Liverpool. A graveside memorial service will be held Saturday, April 6, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Southwest Port Mouton Community Cemetery. Family flowers only.
