Marjorie H. Delano
1928-2019
Marjorie Delano, wife of the late Leroy Delano of Miramichi, passed away at the Central NB Nursing Home, Boiestown on April 19th at the age of 90. Born in Sevogle, Marjorie was the daughter of the late Murdock and Catherine (Mullin) Sutherland. Marjorie was a homemaker and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Marjorie is survived by two daughters: Pamela (John W. Hayden of Fredericton, NB and Tania Delano (Peter Donovan) of Moncton, NB; two sons: Elroy of Miramichi and Perry (Isabel) of Vancouver, BC; one sister: Kathleen Quayle of Williamstown, two brothers: Stanley ( Patsy) Sutherland of Sunny Corner, NB. and Earl ( Carolyn) Sutherland of Exmoor, NB; nine grandchildren: Patrick Delano, Melissa Hudson, Matthew Delano, John Hayden, Trinda Hayden, Andrea Delano, Eddie Delano, Koby Donovan and Callie Donovan; two great grandchildren: Harper and Lauren as well as several nieces and nephews .
Other than her parents: Murdock and Catherine (Mullin) Sutherland and husband: Leroy Delano, Marjorie is predeceased by three sisters: Annie Mae, Carolyn and Margaret; Four brothers: Perley, James, Stafford and Murdock.
Visitation will be held at Bell’s Funeral Home, 651 King George Highway, Miramichi on Tuesday, April 23rd from 2-4 and 7-9 PM. Funeral service will be held at St. James & St. John United Church, Newcastle on Wednesday, April 24th at 11 AM with Reverend Alice Szemok officiating. Burial will take place at the Miramichi Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, in Marjorie’s memory, donations may be made to the Central NB Nursing Home or the Canadian Cancer Society.
