Marion’s Obituary
TRENTON – Marion Elizabeth Bonvie, 62, Trenton, formerly of New Glasgow, passed away Tuesday, April 23, 2019.
Born in Halifax, she was a daughter of Betty Louise (Walton) (Bonvie) Thomas, Halifax and the late Allan Gene Bonvie. Prior to ill health, Marion was employed as an administrative assistant for many years. She possessed a positive outlook and inspiring sense of humour and purpose. Above all, she loved her family and cherished time spent with each one. For Marion “life has changed; not ended!”
Surviving are her mother and step-father, Betty Lou and George “Buddy” Thomas, Halifax; daughter, Shauna (Joe) Campbell, Trenton; grandchildren, Renee, Ashley, Bailie (Jacob), Erick and Cayden; sister, Dolly (Bruce) Campbell, Pictou Landing; brothers, Allan (Cathy) Bonvie, Lower Sackville; Sandy (Michele) Bonvie, New Glasgow; Doug (Angela) Bonvie, New Glasgow; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Besides her father, Allan, she was predeceased by partner, Joe; nephew, George “Georgie”; maternal grandparents, Tom and Hilda Walton; paternal grandparents, Moses and Lillian “Teta” Bonvie.
The family will receive visitors 10 – 10:50 a.m. Tuesday, April 30th in P. & K. MacDonald Funeral Home, New Glasgow with a Celebration of Marion’s life at 11 a.m. with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Interment will be in Abercrombie Cemetery.
Donations may be made in memory of Marion to the Pictou County Food Bank. (please click on link to donate online)
