Marion A. Mundle
1929-2019
Marion A. Mundle, 89, of Moncton, and
formerly of Rexton, passed away peacefully at the Briarlea Home on
Friday, April 26, 2019.
Born in Clifton, NB, she was the
daughter of the late Percival and Elvina (Halloran)
Knowles.
Marion was a member of St. Andrews
United Church where she was a CGIT leader and Sunday School
teacher. She was also a long time member of the
church choir and the Eastern Star. Marion was involved in
the Rexton Recreation Council and the St. John Ambulance as a
long-time volunteer. She worked at the Rexton Elementary
School as the school librarian, where she was able to instill her
passion for books and reading onto the students. She retired
in 1996. Marion’s greatest joy was that of being a
wife, Mum and friend. She spent many days taxiing hockey
players but never understood the concept of an off-side! She
loved to cook and knit, passing this passion along to her
grandchildren, who in return gave her a passion for
“texting” them on her tablet and surfing the
internet.
Marion will be sadly missed by her
husband of 61 years, Daryl Mundle; daughter, Patricia Roberts
(Gregory); sons, Marven Mundle (Dawn), David Mundle (Angela) and
Bradley Mundle (Cindy); 8 precious grandchildren, Melanie, Shayna,
Jacob, Lindsey, Brett, Miranda, Emma and Ben; as well as a special
niece Ellen Allain and several other nieces, nephews and extended
family members. She was predeceased by her two sisters,
Esther McBeath and Margaret MacLean, as well as her niece Sheana
McBeath.
Visitation at Fergusons Funeral Home,
1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00
pm. A Service to celebrate and honour Marion’s life will be
held from Fergusons Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, May 2, 2019 at
11:00 am. Reception in the Funeral Home Reception Centre following the
service. A private interment will be held at St. Andrew United Church
Cemetery, Rexton.
We would like to thank the staff and
management of the Briarlea for the exceptional care and compassion
shown to Marion over the last several years. She came to
think of both staff and residents as her extended family. Their
kindness will never be forgotten.
In memory of Marion, donations to the
St. Andrews United Church Cemetery Fund, Rexton, would be appreciated.
