Mrs. Marie (Mel) Van Linden, a resident of Wallaceburg, passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at Fairfield Park, in Wallaceburg at the age of 95.
Marie was born in Wallaceburg and was a daughter of the late Jacob and Annie (Pardon) Mel.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph “Joe” Van Linden (2003).
Dear mother of Janet Wombwell of London, Patricia Fox of Colorado, Vicki Van Linden of London and Louis Van Linden of Wallaceburg.
Sadly missed by her grandchildren Renée, Jason, Laura and Julia and great grandchildren Blake, Harlie, Amelia and Jackson.
Kind sister of Dorothy Castaldi.
Predeceased by her siblings Madeline Ebear, Anna Gaul, John Mel and Jean Mel.
Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2019 from 1 to 3 p.m. from the Chapel of the funeral home.
Cremation will follow.
The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, April 11, 2019 at 12 noon, with one hour of visitation before the mass, all from Our Lady Help of Christians Church, in Wallaceburg.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to My Sister’s Place, a charity that Marie supported, www.mysistersplace.ca or the Liver Foundation may be left at the funeral home.
