Maria Elisabeth Reumkens
On March 30, 2019, Maria Elisabeth Reumkens of Edmonton, AB, formerly of Calgary, AB and Brunssum Limburg, Netherlands, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the age of 92 years.
Elisabeth is survived by her two daughters, Maria (Dave) Onuczko of Edmonton, AB and Katie (Frank – deceased) Perkovic of Calgary, AB; five grandchildren, Stacey (Scotty), Chris (Dagmar), Greg (Tracie), Julie and Mike (Tammy); six great-grandchildren, Morley, Seth, Isaac, Marina, Victoria and Andrea; two sisters, Annie and Cisca; sisters-in-law, Engelien and Mia as well as numerous nieces and nephews in the Netherlands. Predeceased by her husband, Marten Reumkens; parents, Maria Elisabeth and Jan Michiel Tilmans; brothers, Andreas, Jozef, Karel, Paul and Sjaak; sisters, Mia, Philomena and Lenie all of the Netherlands.
Elisabeth was a very religious and generous person who loved her family and friends. She enjoyed music, reading, sewing and family gatherings.
The family is grateful to everyone who has reached out during this difficult time.
A Celebration of Elisabeth’s life will be on Tuesday, April 9 at 3:30 p.m. at Park Memorial Chapel, 9709 – 111 Avenue, Edmonton. In lieu of other tributes, donations may be made to Alzheimers Society of Alberta and NWT, 10531 Kingsway Avenue NW, Edmonton, AB T5H 4K1.
