Mrs. Maria (Montecchiari) Canullo, former resident of Wallaceburg, passed away peacefully in Chatham on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at the age of 93.
Maria was born in Italy and was a daughter of the late Giuseppe and Rosa (Ricotta) Montecchiari.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Canullo (1996).
Loving mother of Marisa (Adrian) Van Haren of Ridgetown and John (Andrea Nadalin) Canullo of California, U.S.A.
Dear grandmother of Lia and Dan Byrnes, Martin and Jody VanHaren, Amy VanHaren and friend Cobe Agavi, Christopher Canullo, Joshua Canullo, Andrew and Lindsay Canullo and Michael Canullo and great grandmother of Keegan and Laila Byrnes, Benjamin and Matthew VanHaren, Haven and Chloe Canullo, Kiani, Kekoa, Kainoq Canullo.
Predeceased by all her brothers and sisters in Italy.
Also missed by many nieces, nephews and friends.
Maria was a long time member of Holy Family Parish in Wallaceburg.
Family and friends will be received at the Eric F. Nicholls Funeral Home Ltd. 639 Elgin St., Wallaceburg, on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 from 6-8 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, May 2, 2019 from Holy Family Church, in Wallaceburg at 11 a.m.
As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Charity of Your Choice may be left at the funeral home.
