Lavina Vivian Scott 1941 2019

Obituary of Lavina Vivian Scott
July 6, 1941 – April 23, 2019
Lavina Vivian (Lemky) Scott passed peacefully into the spiritual world on April 23, 2019 at the age of 77 years.
Lavina was the beloved wife of Ken Scott, who preceded her twenty-one years ago. Since that time, Ken and Lavina have been waiting for the time when they would once more be joyfully reunited.
Lavina was a caring and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, teacher, mentor and friend to many people. Along with Ken, she raised 3 children; Naomi, married to John Reid, Janina, married to Bob Heinrichs and Darrell. Her children and their families as well as relatives, neighbors, friends and former piano students will miss her.
Lavina was born to Ed and Emma Lemky on July 6th, 1941, in Grande Prairie, Alberta. As a young woman, before she was married, Lavina learned to play piano. For many years after they were married she taught piano lessons to both children and adults. Ken, (who played violin) and Lavina enjoyed playing music together many evenings. They also shared a love for the teachings of the New Church which teaches that husband and wife will be reunited after death, and will live together again, and this has given Lavina great comfort over the many years since Ken has passed away.
A Memorial Service in honor of Lavina will take place on Friday, May 10th at 1pm at the Gospel Light Church in Debolt, followed by a reception. All are welcome.
