Karl was born in Trail, BC and passed away at the Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his mother Pauline Kalusik, brother Jay (Sharon), sisters Sandi (Bill) and Leanne (Dwayne), his nieces Crystal and Tessa and nephews Drake and Alex. Karl was predeceased by his father Lloyd Kalusik, niece Trisha, nephew Denton, grandparents Frank and Ida Kalusik and Karl and Florence Grupp.
Karl was born in Trail and raised in Fruitvale. He moved to Victoria after graduation and completed his degree in Fine Arts at UVic, which led him to UCLA where he completed his Masters. He later returned to Victoria, the city he loved.
A private family Celebration of Life will be held on May 3, 2019.
