Obituary of Kenzie MacIsaac
John Kenzie MacIsaac, 62, of Brierly Brook, Antigonish County, died April 17th, 2019 at St Martha’s Regional Hospital, Antigonish. Born December 26, 1956, he was a son of the late Dan Hugh and Francis Anne (Downey) MacIsaac.
Kenzie will be remembered for his generosity of time and effort to those close to him. As well as being a Lineman by trade, Kenzie was raised on a farm in Brierly Brook. Whether on the job or at home, he will be defined by his inexhaustible work ethic and a pride in mentoring those younger than him. He enjoyed the outdoors, cards, and the company of family and friends.
He is survived by his three children, Kayla, Andrew and Bernard; four grandchildren Sawyer, Lilah, Autumn and Avery; eleven siblings Mary(late Tony) Bekkers, Effie (Jim) Taylor, Bernard (Ann) MacIsaac, Gordon (Anne) MacIsaac, Jesse (Edis) MacIsaac, Daniel (Gwen) MacIsaac, Anne (John Andrew) Boyd, Theresa (Randy) Fishleder, Cabrini (Marcy) Macquarrie, Cecelia Porter, and Hector (Ann) MacIsaac; and wife for 24 years Mary Margret MacIsaac.
Visitation 2-4 and 7-9 pm Monday, April 22 in MacIsaac Funeral Home, 61 Pleasant St., Antigonish. Funeral Mass 11am Tuesday April 23, in St. Ninian’s Cathedral, Antigonish, Rev. Donald MacGillivray presiding.
