CUMMINGS, Karen Ann Leslie
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Cummings in Oliver, BC on April 7, 2019. Karen was born February 10, 1946 in Trail, BC. She joins in heaven, her husband of 37 years Charles Cummings, her parents Betenius and Oloug Jule Johnson and all 7 of her brothers and sisters. Karen is survived by her children, Ray Hudson (Cyndi), Tina Winteringham (Mike), Tara Hudson (Erick), Michael Hudson (Mary Anne), step children Stephen Cummings, Catherine Cummings, Peter Cummings, Margaret Peeren (Tony), Maureen Stroet (Patrick), foster son Sheldon Quinn (Leslie), grand children Amy Pittendreich (Alvaro), Jewels Moraes (Eric), Martin Stroet, Grayson Hudson, Haley Wark, Ryland Winteringham, Nolan Wark, Ryley Stroet, Zachary Winteringham, Holly Hudson, Aurora Quinn, great-grand daughters Lily and Laura, sister-in-law Mary Johnson and numerous nieces and nephews. Karen loved to have all the family together for meals and holidays. She especially enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, crafts, gardening, travelling and SHOPPING! Karen was a faithful follower of Jesus and spent many years, when she was in better health devoted to her church, we know she is finally feeling great surrounded by all her family whom she has greatly missed. Funeral services and Tea will be held on May 11, 2019 at 11:00 am at Concordia Lutheran Church, 2800 S. Main Street, Penticton, BC. Rev. Michael Schutz and Rev. Darren Siegel to officiate. Interment of both Karen & Chuck will follow at Lake View Cemetery at 2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or the Oliver Hospital where she was treated like royalty.
