Obituary of John Markle
MARKLE, John Isaac – Retired from Nortel after 35 years of service, entered into rest at QHC-Belleville General Hospital, on Monday, April 15th, 2019, in his 74th year. Son of the late Frank and Laura Markle (nee McDonald). Beloved husband of Evelyn May Markle (nee Dean), (nee Williams). Loving father of John Markle, Patricia Justin (Robert), Laura Coveney (Matthew) and dear step-father of; Debbie Royle (Terry) and Pam Williams. Also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren; Patricia “Tish”, Thomas, Timothy, Courtney, Justin and by his great granddaughter; Lillian. Dear brother of; Joanne Belch (husband George) and Joyce Woodley (late husband Ken). John was predeceased by his siblings; Eileen (late husband Sid), Mary (late husband Leonard), Robert, Olive (late husband Bob). Also missed by many nieces and nephews. Cremation has already taken place. Visitation will be held at Steele Funeral Home, Moira Street Chapel, 30 Moira Street West, Belleville, (613-968-2273), on Wednesday, April 24th, from 2-4 & 6-9 p.m. Memorial Service to be held at Parkdale Baptist Church, (514 Sidney Street, Belleville), on Thursday, April 25th, 2019 at 11:00 a.m., with visitation at the church one hour prior to service. Pastor John Tedford officiating. Inurnment to take place at Belleville Cemetery, following the reception at the church. If desired, donations to E. J. McQuigge Lodge, Belleville General Hospital Oncology Department or Parkdale Baptist Church would be appreciated by the family.
