John (Mac) F.W. McDonald
1919-2019
After a full life, the
family of John (Mac) F.W. McDonald of Berwick, formerly of Wickham,
announce his passing on Saturday April
20th at the
Sus Health Centre, in his
100th year.
Born in Antigonish NS, John was the son of the late Daniel and
Catherine (McGillivary) McDonald. John is survived by his sons; John
(Donna) MacDonald of Millbrook ON, Scott (Linda) McDonald of Stoney
Creek ON, 4 grandchildren; Michael, Jeff, Matt and Sean and 8 great
grandchildren.
John was predeceased by his
1st wife; Aileen (Bradshaw) McDonald
and his 2nd wife; Grace (Mott)
McDonald.
John served in the Canadian Army (Three Rivers
Regiment) during the Second World War having seen action in numerous
locations in Europe. He had worked as a Stevedore and also had a
trucking company and retired as a truck driver with Canada Post. John
was a member of Abundant Life Pentecostal Church,
Sus.
Arrangements have been entrusted to
Sherwood’s Funeral Home and Life Tribute Centre
(506-839-2156), 18 Scovil Road, Norton NB, where visitation will be
held on Tuesday, April 23, 2019 from 12:00 noon to 2:00 pm followed by
the funeral service at 2:00 pm in the Sherwood’s Funeral
Home Chapel. Burial will be in Belyea’s Cove
Cemetery.
Memorial donations
in memory of John may be made to the NB Heart & Stroke
Foundation, or to a memorial of the donor’s choice. Personal
condolences to the family and donations may be made through
SherwoodsFuneralHome.com.
