Jeannette Dragoon Galbraith April 12th 2019

Jeannette Dragoon Galbraith
Born July 19, 1924 in Chazy, upstate New York. Passed away Friday, April 12, 2019 in Calgary, Alberta.
She is survived by her son, Charles I. McBride M.D. (Puri); step-children, Stewart (Shirley) Galbraith, Judy Williamson (Garry Colpitts), and Susan (Brent) Warne, and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Douglas Galbraith, and her sister, Elizabeth (Betty).
Jeannette was a world traveler, and an acquaintance who became a good friend on a trip from Greece to Turkey later introduced her to Doug. She was a life-long student, and some of her life’s interests were travelling, reading, and handwriting analysis. In her later years she began painting. She lived at The Renoir for 14 years, and wanted to thank everyone there for making her life very pleasant, and acknowledge the many friends she made there over the years. Special mention should be made of Phil Shadbolt, her companion for the last 6 years.
A Private Graveside Service will be held at the convenience of the family.
Donations in her memory can be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB), 15 Colonel Baker Place NE, Calgary, AB, T2E 4Z3, or Knox Presbyterian Church, 3704 – 37 Street SW, Calgary, AB, T3E 3C3.
