Jean’s Obituary
FREDERICKS, Jean Elizabeth ~ Age 84, of Millville, Kings Co., passed away on Friday, April 12, 2019, in Valley Regional Hospital, Kentville. Born in Millville on January 14, 1935, she was a daughter of Murray and Bernice (Murphy) Creemer. Jean had worked for over 30 years as a packer at Scotian Gold in Aylesford and Coldbrook. She enjoyed time spent with her husband, travelling, time spent in the woods and also accompany him fishing and hunting. Jean will be missed by her beloved cat, Tippy. Surviving are her husband of 17 years, Daniel S. Fredericks; son, David (Holly) Rafuse, Millville; grandsons, Ryan Rafuse and Brandon Stevens; brother, George (Jenny Carey) Creemer, Millville; sister, Helen (the late Wilfred) Oickle, Weston; many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by infant daughters, Linda Jean and Vivian Jean; half-sisters, Ruby (Glendon) Trites and Myrtle (Albert) Corbin. By request there will be no visitation. Graveside service will take place at a future date in Aylesford Union Cemetery. Donations in her memory may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia, Diabetes Canada or to the Valley Regional Hospital Foundation. The family would like to say a special heart felt thank you to the E.H.S. Paramedics and the staff at the Valley Regional Hospital for the care, concern and professionalism shown to Jean.
