June 28, 1937 – April 2, 2019
James Phillip Lyons of Fredericton, NB went Home to be with the Lord on April 2, 2019 at Saint John Regional Hospital. Born on June 28, 1937 in McNamee, NB, he was the son of the late Phillip and Ina (Stewart) Lyons. James taught at New Brunswick High Schools in Blackville (1958), Boiestown (1960), Perth (1962), Oromocto (1964-1993). He retired in 1993 after 34.7 years of a rewarding and enjoyable teaching career (Basically High School Mathematics).

Phillip is survived by his sisters, Marilyn Lyons and Marjorie (Phillips) Flowers (Jerry); nephews and nieces. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by sister, Doris Lyons; brothers-in-law, Harley Lyons, Erdie Phillips; nephew, Andrew Phillips.

There will be no visitation by request. A Memorial Service will take place at Christ Church Cathedral, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday, April 9, 2019 at 11am with The Very Rev. Geoffrey Hall officiating. Interment will take place at St. James the Greater Anglican Cemetery, Ludlow, NB at a later date. For those who wish, remembrances may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
