Obituary of Isabel Davies
Isabel Davies, 93, of Westville, passed away on Sunday, April 21, 2019 in Valley View Villa, Riverton.
Isabel was born in New Glasgow, where she grew up as a young girl. She first worked as a clerk at Zeller’s and later worked at Proudfoot’s for many years until her retirement. A loving, caring person, Isabel welcomed everyone in her home. She was a member of Murray Temple #4 Pythian Sisters for over 50 years where she was Past Grand Chief as well as well as many other offices.
She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer Wilson, Westville; Gwen Hines (Ron), Westville; Marsha Davies, New Glasgow; son Garry (Sherri), New Glasgow; 8 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren, and was the last surviving member of her brothers and sisters.
She was predeceased by her husband Bruce; infant daughters Brenda and Cheryl; daughter-in-law Sally Davies; son-in-law George Wilson.
Special thank you to the staff of Valley View Villa for their wonderful care given to Isabel.
Isabel is resting at Eagles Funeral Home, Westville with visiting on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Her funeral service will be held 1 o’clock Thursday from Eagles Funeral Chapel, Westville with Rev. Dr. Glen Matheson officiating. Burial will be in Auburn Cemetery, Westville. Family flowers only. Donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
