Irene Mary Landreville (nee King) passed away at the Pembina Manitou Health Centre, Manitou MB, on Saturday March 30, 2019 at the age of 96 years.
Irene was born May 22, 1922 at Altamont MB, the first child of Clayton & Agnes King. She grew up in the area & attended Deerwood & Altamont schools. On November 25, 1944, she married Emile Landreville and farmed in the Altamont area until 1952, then moving to Somerset MB. Irene enjoyed knitting, gardening, the church choir & her family foremost. After Emile passed away in 1995, Irene continued to live in Somerset until moving to Manitou twelve years ago.
Irene leaves to mourn her passing son Grant (Patti) Landreville of Winkler MB, daughter Mariane (James) Stewart of Red Deer AB, daughter-in-law Marie Landreville of Brandon MB, six grandchildren Leslie (Shane), Shannon (Kevin), Shawna (Stevenjohn), Laurie (Michael), Jerod & Sheldon, nine great grandchildren Connor, Trenton, Brooke, Alyssa, Rylan, Nolan, Madison, Willem, Liam as well as numerous extended relatives.
She was predeceased by her husband Emile, son Ron Landreville, parents Clayton & Agnes King, sister Marge Erickson, brother Elmer King, brothers-in-law Art Carlson, Henry Erickson and by sister-in-law Rita King.
Mass of the Christian Burial will be held on Thursday April 4, 2019 at 2:00 pm in the Notre Dame de la Nativité Catholic Church, Somerset MB, with Father Paulin Akpapupu as Celebrant.
Interment to follow in the Parish Cemetery.
