Obituary of Ida McKnight
After a long, well lived life, we announce the death of Ida Emily McKnight of Sus, NB, in her 100th year, which occurred at the Sus Health Center on Wednesday, April 24, 2019. Ida was born in Cornwall, England on Sept 29, 1919, a daughter of the late Thomas and Emily (Yates) Carhart, and wife of the late Ted McKnight.
Ida will be missed by her daughters: Gladys (Archie) Munroe of Sus Corner, Diane (Fred) Whitters of Sus and Linda Parks of Apohaqui; her sons: Charles McKnight of Berwick and Louis (Gisele) McKnight of Lake George; her brothers: Edward “Buck” (Barb) Carhart of Carsonville; her sister, Ruth Rouse of Carsonville; 16 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 6 great-great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. As well as her husband and parents, she is predeceased by her brothers: Roy, Murray, William, Charles Leonard and Thomas, her sisters Gladys Donovan, Elizabeth Douthright, and Joyce Doyle; her son-in-law, Edward and by her daughter-in-law, Shirley McKnight.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the compassionate care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus, NB, (506 433 1176), from where visitation will take place on Sunday, April 28, 2019 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm. Funeral Service, conducted by Rev. Dan McMullen, will be held on Monday, April 29, 2019 at 11:00 am from the Wallace Community Chapel. Interment will take place in Lester Cemetery.
