Grace ‘Caroline’ Helen Hopwood (nee. Stephenson)
December 26th, 1939 – April 3, 2019
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, aunt and friend Caroline Hopwood. Born on December 26th, 1939 in Meadow lake Sask. and passed away on April 3rd 2019 in Trail BC.
She is survived by her siblings George, Clarence (Marlene), Lilian (Jack) Duncan, sons Keith (Anne) Martin, Steve (Karen) Hopwood, daughters Cael Hopwood, Lori (Mike) Cafferky, six grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Caroline was predeceased by her parents Cecil and Dorothy Stephenson, brother Raymond, husband John Hopwood, and daughter Shari Martin.
Caroline was a dedicated volunteer; as an active member of the Gyro Club, the Nelson Electric Tramway, as well as a Hospital Auxiliary member. She also spent many wonderful years supporting her United Church community.
A service will be held in her Caroline’s memory, 11am Saturday April 13th, 2019 at the Nelson United Church, 602 Silica Street, Nelson BC., internment to follow.
As an expression of sympathy, donations may be made Caroline’s name to the Kootenay Lake Hospital, 3 View St. Nelson BC.
