Obituary of Hattie Isabel “Belles” Burns
We, the family, are heartbroken to share the loss of Hattie Isabel (Belles) Burns age 71. She passed away peacefully at home in Tracadie on April 22, 2019, surrounded by her family. Born in Tracadie on August 3, 1947, she was a daughter of the late Joseph C. and Annie Jane (Pettipas) Delorey. She is survived by her children Wanda (Eddy) DeWolfe of Edmonton AB, sons Trevor Burns and Darren DeCoste of Tracadie, five siblings, Mary Gaudreau, Antigonish; George (Rita) Delorey, Tracadie; Lillian Brister, Mattie Settlement; Kathleen (Peter) Schmitz, Weston, ON; Nancy (Romeo) DiStefano, Tracadie, sisters-in-law Florence Delorey, Trenton; Theresa Delorey, St Andrews, four grandchildren, and five great grandsons. She is predeceased by Archie Burns and Anthony DeCoste, brothers Stanley, Willie, Buddy, Jim and John Delorey. Sister Emma Fraser, brothers-in-law Charles Brister, Earl Fraser and Pat Gaudreau. She will rest in St. Peter’s Place, Tracadie on Wednesday, April 24 from 2-4 and 7-9. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, April 25 at 11 am in St. Peter’s Church, Tracadie with Rev. John Barry presiding. In lieu of of flowers donations in memory of Belles can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, St. Martha’s Hospital Foundation, or any local charity of ones choice. www.MacIsaacs.ca
