Obituary of Gerald Shortall
SHORTALL, GERALD EDMUND
On Saturday, April 13, 2019, Gerald Edmund Shortall, loving father of one, passed away at the age of 74. Gerry was born on May 13, 1945 to Wilbert and Claire Shortall, the youngest of three brothers, Jim and Peter. He received his degree from York University and began a career that took him from Toronto to Regina; a City that he fell in love with on both a personal and professional level. He was honoured to be the President of the Ambassadors Club of the Regina and District Chamber from 2005-2015, maintaining his involvement in the Chamber afterwards in many different ways. Gerry had a passion for the beautiful things in life and always knew how to arrive in style, typically in the form of a sports car with the top down listening to one of his favourite musicians, like Elvis or Roy Orbison. He was known for his quick (dry) wit, his infectious smile, and his kind and compassionate spirit. Gerry was preceded in death by his father, Bill, his mother, Claire and his beloved brother Jim. He is survived by his daughter Kristy; his granddaughter Fiona; his brother Peter; his sisters-in-law Jean and Katherine; his niece and nephews, Peter, Christopher, Jennifer and Brennan; as well as several cousins. He will be missed by his many business colleagues and friends. A Celebration of Gerry’s Life will be held at the Speers Family Centre, 2333 Cornwall St., Regina, SK on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. Those so wishing may make memorial donations in Gerry’s name to a favourite charity of choice.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Gerald
