*UPDATED OBITUARY*
Passed away, suddenly, on Sunday, September 23rd, 2018, at the London Health Sciences Centre, University Campus, Gary Joseph Smithers, a resident of Rolph Street, Tillsonburg and formerly of Courtland, at the age of 60. Born in Woodstock, son of the late Frederick Smithers and the late former Norma (Zabizemski) Smithers. Beloved step-son of Willa Smithers of Bobcaygeon, and step-brother of Krista (James) of Bobcaygeon, and brother of Brian of Waterloo.
Cremation has taken place. Friends and relatives are invited for visitation on April 27, 2019 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, Tillsonburg. A Celebration of Life Cremation Memorial Service will take place on April 27, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Maurice J. Verhoeve Funeral Homes Chapel, by Captain Nancy Sheils, of Tillsonburg Salvation Army Church. Memorial donations in Gary’s memory are payable by cheque only to the “Salvation Army Church, Tillsonburg” through the MAURICE J. VERHOEVE FUNERAL HOMES-BURIAL AND CREMATION SERVICES INC., 262 Broadway Street, Tillsonburg (519)842-4238.
