Eugene Edward Martell
On April 17, 2019, Eugene Edward Martell of Whitecourt, AB passed away at the age of 52 years.
Eugene will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Jody; son, Brandon of Antigonish, NS; daughters, Madison and Mackenzie of Whitecourt; mother, Ann; brothers, Edmund (Shelley) and Edwin (Josée); sisters, Sandra (Darrel) and Charlene (James); and many more dear relatives and friends. Predeceased by his father, Edward.
Eugene was a great man who was known for having a wonderful sense of humor and putting a smile on everyone’s face. He was incredibly strong-willed and always remained positive, keeping his sense of humor into his final days. Whether you had just met Eugene or had known him for years, his warmth and kindness left an undeniable impact. Eugene was dedicated to and loved his family and friends greatly, and will be loved and missed by all.
Thank you to Dr. Byers for always showing up at the right time, sharing prayers, keeping Eugene comfortable and for the many kindnesses shown to Eugene and the family.
A Celebration of Eugene’s Life will be held Saturday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m. at Whitecourt United Church, 5201 – 50 Street, Whitecourt with Reverend Rita Milne officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to ALS Society of Alberta (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) North Region Office, 5418 – 97 Street, Edmonton, AB T6E 5C1
