Anique Chelene Esau was born on December 3, 1990 and passed away in the early hours of March 29, 2019 at age 28 after an 11-month battle with Lymphoma. She was born and raised in Abbotsford, British Columbia, and lived there all of her life. Anique has a generous heart with a great love of dogs. You could often see her out walking various dogs, including her own Mary, who was utterly devoted to her. Anique graduated from Yale Secondary in 2009 and enjoyed a few years exploring languages at UFV, becoming fluent in German. Her heart was in dog walking and her own business Pattering Paws where her clients could see her passion and great love for their pets.
Anique is survived by her common-law partner and boyfriend Jeff Schneider; her parents Erich Britz (father), Beulah McGahey (mother), and Seaghan McGahey (step-father); her siblings Kyra Esau-McGahey, Saffron Britz, Werner Britz, and Mako Britz, step-brother Jeff McGahey; as well as nephews Malokai Britz and Michael Esau-Standing; as well as numerous extended family members including many cousins, aunts and uncles.
In place of gifts or flowers, the family suggests that a donation could be made to SPCA in her honour as Anique volunteered there for years and it’s where she met the love of her life Jeff. She fought valiantly and it is with deepest love and heartache that we say goodbye to our beloved Anique. The Celebration of Life is April 6, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Central Community Church, located at 513 Lillooet Road, Harrison Hot Springs, BC.
