It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Ernest Leonard Stensrud, late of Birch Hills, SK, on April 21, 2019 at the age of 96 years. Ernest was born in the Hagen Area on May 18, 1922 to parents: John and Inger (nee Rust) Stensrud.
Ernest will be lovingly remembered by sister: Edna (Ken) Hunter – Birch Hills, SK; his brother: Edwin Stensrud – British Columbia; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ernest is predeceased by his sister-in-law: Leslie Stensrud; his parents: John and Inger (nee Rust) Stensrud; his brother and sister-in-law: John (Renata) Stensrud; and his sisters and brothers-in-law: Ida Stensrud, Olga (Guttorm) Anundsen, Ovidia (Emile) Turgeon, Alma (Edward) Schukei, Anne (Asbjorn) Amundsen and Hilda (Ralph) Turgeon.
A Funeral Service will be held for Ernest on Friday April 26, 2019 at 2:00PM located at the Saron Lutheran Church in Hagen, SK. Interment will then be held at the Saron Lutheran Cemetery in Hagen, SK.
