Obituary of Elva Hancock
Elva Hancock passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at the age of 91 years. Elva was born on November 11, 1927 in Islay, Alberta.
Elva Hancock (nee Haskell) is survived by: her children, Larry and Jan Hancock of Calgary, Connie Huehnicen of Marwayne, Marlene & Jerry Schonheiter of Lloydminster and Calvin Hancock & Twyla Quickstad of Clandonald; her grandchildren, Jamie Dee & Shaun Burzinski, Mark & Tracy Armstrong, Stephen Armstrong & Janne Fisher and Bryn Quickstad; her great grandchildren, Atleigh, Everly, & Mackenzie Burzinski, Cole & Cooper Armstrong, Grace & Lily Armstrong.
Elva is also survived by: her sister, Mildred Sinclair of Stettler, AB; her two brothers-in-law, Ted & Audrey Hancock and Don & Fern Hancock; her one sister-in-law, Bernice Hancock; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Elva was predeceased by: her husband, Gordon Hancock; her son, Morley Hancock; her grandson, Kirby Huehnicen; her son-in-law,Wayne Huehnicen; her parents, Christen & Dorthea Haskell; her twin brother, Elmer; her five sisters, Agnes Hines, Dagmar Holmen, Lilly Thomson , Doris Isert and Eva Nish and their families; her three brothers, Chris, Raymond, and Maynard and their families; on the Hancock side: her parents-in-law, Clary and Ruth Hancock; her two brothers-in-laws, Mac and Neal and his wife Gloria; her two sisters- in-law, Doreen Lowrie and Marion Lowrie ; along with their husbands, Al and Murray ;
The Funeral Service for Elva will be conducted at the Marwayne Community Hall, Marwayne, Alberta on Monday, April 22, 2019 at 2:00 PM.
Donations in memory of Elva may be made to the Marwayne Cemetery or the donor’s charity of choice.
