It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, age 87, of Mill Cove. Elva passed away peacefully, at home, on April 11, 2019, with family members present. Born in Mill Cove, she was the daughter of the late Hiram and Rhoda Jollymore. Survived by her children Joe (Bill) MacDonald, Edmonton; Glendon, Mill Cove; Julia (Rod) Prest, Upper Stewiacke; Doreen, Deep Cove; sisters, Rhoda, Janice, Rhea, Cora, June and Linda; brothers, Layton, Floyd, Aaron, Vernon, Albert and George; grandchildren, Linda, Lisa, Laura, Andrea and John; great grandchildren, Derek, Justin, Amy, Vanessa, Brooklyn, Blake, Rylann, Jackson, Rowan, Trent, baby on the way; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband Cecil, daughter, Wanda; grandson, Pt. Richard Green; sisters, Nellie, Ella, Theresa, Ester, Blanche, Lola, Vera; brothers, Walter, Leo, Reid, Julian, Andrew and Robert in infancy. The family will receive visitors 4-7 pm Monday, April 15th in the Ronald A. Walker Funeral Home, Hubbards. Funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 16th in St. Marks Anglican Church, Mill Cove. Rev. Bill MacDonald officiating. Burial to follow in St. James Anglican Church Cemetery, Fox Point.
