The passing of Edna Mabel Richardson (Keenan) of Fredericton, NB, wife of the late Edmund Richardson, occurred on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at Parkland Shannex, Thomas Hall.
Born on February 15, 1918 in Stanley, NB, she was the daughter of the late James and Jemima (Cooper) Keenan.
Edna worked at the NB Tel Office in Stanley, NB as a switchboard operator; then worked in Toronto, ON at F.W. Woolworth Company. Edna retired as a factory worker where she was a packer with Dominion Gasket & Manufacturing Company in Toronto for 20 years.

Edna is survived by her daughters, Lynn Way (David) of Fredericton, NB and Carol Richardson (Gary) of Toronto, ON; two grandchildren, Aaron and Sean Way; great-grandson, Kyle Way; several nieces and nephews. Edna was predeceased by her infant son James; granddaughter Jennifer Way; brothers Bill, Jack and David Keenan.

Visitation will take place at York Funeral Home, 302 Brookside Drive, Fredericton, NB on Tuesday April 30, 2019 from 6 to 9 pm. Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday May 1, 2019 from the Hillcrest United Church, Stanley, NB at 2 pm with Rev. Brian DeLong officiating. Interment will take place in the Hillcrest United Church Cemetery at a later date. Special thank you to the staff at Parkland Shannex for the wonderful care they provided during Edna’s time there.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fredericton SPCA, Canadian Cancer Society or to the charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences may be offered through www.yorkfh.com
