Earl Douglas Kitchen 19242019

Earl “Douglas” Kitchen
1924-2019
The passing of Earl Douglas Kitchen of Fredericton, husband
of the late Hazel (DeLong) Kitchen, occurred on April 14, 2019 at York
Care Centre. Born in Jacksontown, Carleton County, NB on June 14,
1924, he was the son of the late Earl and Mabel (Lawrence)
Kitchen.
Douglas worked as a radio and TV repairman at Sears Radio/TV
Repair and Green’s Electric. Later in life, Douglas worked
both in private practice and in partnering with a neighbour in
independent radio and TV repair.
Douglas was an avid historian and reader, always to be found
sitting quietly reading and gleaning knowledge from books. His
generosity and humble servanthood kept him busy faithfully
transporting his wife and their many friends.
He is survived by several cousins.
By Douglas’ request, there will be no visitation or
funeral service. Interment will take place at the Douglas Rural
Cemetery at a later date.
For those who wish, remembrances may be made to York Care
Foundation or to a charity of the donor’s choice.
