Peacefully at the Brockville General Hospital, on Saturday, April 20, 2019. Dorothy Merkley (nee Prosser) of Cardinal at the age of 95. Dearly beloved wife of the late Ralph Merkley. Loving mother of Carole McNeilly of RR5 Spencerville, Faye Allan of Cardinal, Gloria (Bob) Maginnis of Prescott, Louise Sayeau of RR5 Spencerville and Glenn (Jackie) of Cardinal. Survived by his brother-in-law Lawrence Merkley of Johnstown. Predeceased by her grandson Danny Patrick, her sisters Marjorie Holmes and Keitha Patterson and by her brother Kenneth Prosser. Sadly, missed by 15 grandchildren 21 great grandchildren and 6 great great-grandchildren. Also survived by a much-loved niece Gloria Marie Ryan and by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral Arrangements
Friends may call at the Marsden McLaughlin Funeral Home in Cardinal, on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Funeral service will be held at St. John`s United church on Thursday, April 25 at 11am. Donations to St. John`s Church or the OSPCA would be gratefully acknowledged by the family. Online condolences may be made at marsdenmclaughlin.com.
