Thompson, Delbert Bernard – Passed away suddenly at the Peterborough Regional Health Centre on Wednesday, April 3, 2019 at the age of 85. Beloved husband of Helen Marie Thompson (nee Jackson) for 66 years. Loving father of Susan Godfrey (Gerry), Rick, Marilyn Thompson, Gloria Richardson, Mike, Valerie Benoit (Rob) and Jimmy (Tanaya). Predeceased by his sons, Bernard and Keith. Cherished grandfather and great grandfather of many grandchildren. Dear brother of Byron(Eileen) and predeceased by 4 siblings. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, April 27, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at Highland Park Funeral Centre (2510 Bensfort Rd.) A reception will follow. An interment will take place at Stirling Cemetery at a later date. In memory of Delbert, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Canadian Mental Health Association. Special thanks to the Doctors and Nurses at PRHC “ICU” and Emergency for all their compassion and care.
