1970-2019
It is with heavy hearts the we announce the passing of Darren
Rose of Riverview, which occurred at The Moncton Hospital on Saturday,
April 6, 2019. Born in Lunenburg, NS, he was the son of Emily Rose
(Wood) of Mahone Bay, NS and Stanley Rose of Bridgewater, NS.
Darren was a past Business Dept. Head, acting Dean, and
Principal at The Moncton Campus of NBCC and later became the Director
of IT for NBCC. Darren was known as an enabler and believed in
continuing education, furthermore that everyone has a place in life
and are able to reach their goals and potential. He was an avid fan
and participant of baseball and basketball, having played both sports
and was a basketball coach, referee and who was very active with the
RMBA. He enjoyed volunteering with the United Way. Darren
was a devoted fan of the Boston Red Sox.
He will forever be in the hearts of his parents, his wife,
Ann Marie (Coolen) Rose, daughter, Megan, sons; Jordan and Nathan, his
brother, David as well as his many friends.
The family will be receiving relatives and friends at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine
Road, Riverview (869-2007) on Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM, with a
service celebrating his life to take place on Wednesday, April 10,
2019 at 1 PM from The Journey Church – Allison Campus, 1539
Salisbury Road, Moncton. Donations to Pro kids Riverview and The
Friends of The Moncton Hospital (Palliative Care Unit) would be
