Darcy Elizabeth Helen Hiebert April 12th 2019

Darcy Elizabeth Helen Hiebert, 53, passed away on Friday, April 12th, 2019, in the presence of loved ones, after a courageous battle with cancer. Darcy is survived by her daughter, Kaitlyn; her father, Henry; brothers, Larry, Lorne (Faith), Gordon (Bonnie), David, and Darjo (Amanda); along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. Darcy was predeceased by her mother, Helen; her father, Isaac Warkentine—who passed away when her mom was pregnant with her; one cousin, Harvey; and her sister-in-law, Rose. Darcy was caring, selfless and brave. Everywhere she went she filled the room with laughter. She was immensely proud of her daughter, and leaves behind many beautiful memories for her loved ones to cherish. The family would like to thank Medicine Hat Regional Hospital, School District 76 and the community of Medicine Hat for coming together to give Darcy her dream of watching her daughter Kaitlyn graduate. In keeping with her wishes, a memorial service will be held for Darcy at a later date. Memorial gifts in Darcy’s memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
