Daisy Eleanor Thornton
Peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, April 27, 2019, Daisy
passed away in her 95th year. Wife of the late Louis Thornton.
Loving mother of late William (Sharon), late Joyce and
Dianne. Cherished grandmother of David Mason, Brian Thornton, Wanda
Mason and Deb Cruickshank, great grandmother of Debra Knox, Karen
Wilson, Raymond Cruickshank, Kaylee Thornton, Coltan Cruickshank,,
Michael Thornton, Nathan Cruickshank and also survived by 4 great
great grandchildren. Also survived by sister-in-law Elsie and many
nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents James Edward Mills and
Daisy Beatrice Thurlow as well as her siblings George, Iolene
(Clifford), Floyd and Jack.
Daisy was a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion,
Dutchess of Kent Branch. Daisy also had a passion for Bingo and loved
her family and a good joke.
Visitation will be held at the Logan Funeral
Home, 371 Dundas Street, London, Ontario (between
Waterloo & Colborne St.), on Tuesday from 7:00 – 9:00 pm,
where the funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 1, 2019 at
11:00 a.m.
Interment Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Those wishing to make a donation are asked to consider the
L.H.S.F. Cancer Program or the Heart and Stroke
Foundation.
A tree will be planted, by the Logan Funeral Home,
as a living memorial to Daisy Thornton
