Cody’s Obituary
Cody Steve Trimper, of Windermere Nova Scotia, passed away April 17, 2019, at the age of 26. Cody was born in Digby on October 15, 1992, to Jill Lynn Harris and Steve Charles Trimper Jr. He lived in many communities in Nova Scotia.
His childhood was spent in Digby, where he said he would always feel like he was coming home to. As a child he also lived in Bloomington and Kingston. As an adult he lived in Greenwood, Wilmot, Centre Burlington, Clarence and finally in Windermere where he owned his first loving family home.
He loved nature, animals, camping and his family. He was an artist, a dancer, a lover, a fighter. He was the most wonderful father to his best friend, Clementine and his sweet little Prue.
Cody is survived by his love, his friend, and his partner for life, Meagan Korhonen; his two precious babies, Clementine Elizabeth Lynn and Prudence Rose; his mother, Jill Harris (Ross McKeil); his first soulmate, John Trimper; his siblings, Jessica (brother-in-law Nathan Penny), Allyson (Ryan), Bradly (Tammy), Ben and Blake; his step-siblings, Teanne Johnson (Lance) and Kegan McKeil (Reagan); his grandparents, Steve and Linda Trimper (Culloden) and Frank and Joan Harris (Deep Brook); he is also survived by countless other aunts, uncles, cousins. He is predeceased by his father, Steve Charles Trimper Jr.
A graveside service will be held, located at the North Kingston Public Cemetery at 2 pm on Saturday April 27; there will be an open house atDoug and Barb’s in Meadowvale immediately following the burial service.
A celebration of life hosted by Meagan will be held for him at 2120 Old Mill Road, Meadowvale at 5 pm – 7 pm on April 27. Cody spoke often of his father’s service when everyone gathered after to share nice stories of Steve. It helped him learn about the man that he never truly knew. That is the intent of this event – to share and celebrate all of the memories of the Cody we knew. It is held late in the day so that those who wish to attend both services may.
