Christopher Linzel 19312019

At the Beach Grove Home on Thursday, April 18, 2019 of Christopher
Linzel, Charlottetown, age 87 years. Born June 15, 1931, in
Stadskanal, Netherlands, to Hendrik and Allie Linzel. Chris was the
oldest of eight children. He immigrated to Canada in 1951, and married
Beatrice deJong in 1955 in Welland, Ontario. They moved to Harrington,
PEI in 1963, where Chris bought a farm. Chris was a successful pork
producer and especially enjoyed growing crops. He loved the beauty of
the Island and took pleasure behind the wheel of a combine in harvest.
Chris loved music, especially classical, and piano. He had a beautiful
tenor voice and loved to sing the hymns in church in harmony. He is
survived by spouse Beatrice, children: Henry, Randy (Joanne), Dennis
(Ginny), Cynthia (Russell Sanché), and Mark (Julie);
grandchildren: Christopher, Janelle, Jessica-Rae, Danielle, Dean,
Tate, D.J., Rylee, Elishava, Charissa, Katrina, Sophia, Jordan, Heidi,
Matthew. He is predeceased by his daughter Rose-Marie. Resting at
Belvedere Funeral Home for visitation on Friday, April 19, from 4-7
pm. Funeral service at the Christian Reformed Church, 153 Mount Edward
Road on Saturday at 2:00 pm. Family interment in West Covehead
Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society or
Beach Grove Home.
