Bridget’s Obituary
Entered into eternal peace on Thursday, April 25, 2019, Bridget Walsh in her 97th year. She is predeceased by her husband, Gerald (1989) and her beloved son Paddy (Pat) 2018. Bridget is the last surviving child of Benedict and Caroline Ryan, formerly of Calvert and her siblings: Mart, Jack, Mike, Bill and Madeline. Mom will be loved and missed by her children whom she devoted her life to Ted (Mary), Madeline (Boyd), Dianne (Paul), Linda, Joe, Gerard (Kathy) and daughter in law Linda (Gosse). She cherished her 20 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren and they all adored their Nanny Bridgie. Mom had a strong bond with her many nieces and nephews far and wide, and was an inspiration to them. Our special thanks to her constant nieces Noreen Whelan, Barb Spontaneo, Gemma Walsh and Karen Ryan, she loved you. We sincerely thank her “girls” at Mountainview for their care and kindness. We are grateful for the care of Dr. Layla and Dr. Dunn and all the wonderful nurses on 3A and Palliative Care Unit. A visitation for family and friends will be held from Country Haven Funeral Home, 167 Country Road, on Sunday, April 28th, 2019 from the hours of 2-4 and 7-9pm. At Bridget’s request, cremation will follow. A funeral mass will take place at All Hallows Roman Catholic Church on Humber Road Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 10am with Father Edward Terry officiating. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Kidney Foundation of NL or please consider a kind act towards the elderly, or someone in need.
