1947-2019
Reid, Brenda Jean, 71, Valley, passed away Thursday, January
24, 2019 in the Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro, with her
family by her side. Born in Truro, she was a daughter of the late
Kenneth MacMillan and Sylvia (Tutty) Parker. Brenda was a member of
the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 26, Truro. She was an avid bingo fan
and also loved to camp.
She is survived by sons, Victor (Lourdes) of Brampton, ON,
Mark (Patty) of Ottawa, Shawn (Jacqueline) of Fredericton, NB, Erick
(Andrea) of Onslow Mountain; daughter Carla Fenton (John) of Grand
Prairie, AB; grandchildren, Stephanie, Samantha, Bethany, Colby, Kyle,
Ryan, Meggan, Emilee, Grace, Alexis, Garath, Logan, Mary, Emily;
great-grandchildren, Sapphire, Phoenix; brothers, Donnie (Marilyn) of
Whitney Pier, NS, Freddie (Cathy) of Toronto, ON, Clifford of Ontario;
sisters, Pansy Baker of Finch, ON, Yvonne Weatherbee (Fred) of Truro
Heights, Karen Pratt (Johnny) of Valley, Marena Weavers (Paul) of
Kemptville, ON.
She was predeceased by her husband Carl Earle Reid; brothers
Hugh Weatherbee in infancy, Douglas MacMillan, Larry Weatherbee;
sisters April Works (Frank) and Alice.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Mattatall~Varner
Funeral Home, 55 Young Street, Truro. No visitation by family request.
A graveside service will take place on Sunday, June
2nd at 2 pm in Crossroads Cemetery, Valley with
Reverend Kaj Binderup officiating. Donations in memory may be made to
the Canadian Liver Foundation. Private messages of condolence may be
