Obituary of Barry Simpson
SIMPSON: Barry –
A resident of Ridgetown, Barry Simpson passed away suddenly at Four Counties Health Services on Friday, April 26, 2019 at the age of 72.
Born in Ridgetown, Barry was the son of the late Kelso and Grace (Green) Simpson.
Loving father of Gwen Humphrey (Derek) of Ridgetown and Shawn Simpson (Andrea) of Chatham.
Proud Papa and ‘Grandpa Bearcat’ to Lexie Humphrey (Pat Gibson), Kyla Humphrey (Chad Jones), Hailey Johnson and Bryson Humphrey. Great-Papa to Clara Gibson.
Predeceased by his siblings Betty Grinage, Basil Simpson and Bruce Simpson. Also missed by many nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Barry worked as a mechanic and has been keeping the wheels turning in the Ridgetown area for over 50 years. He loved watching local hockey and never missed a game or a tournament in which his granddaughter Hailey played. He enjoyed watching sports on TV and was a diehard Red Wings fan.
Family will receive friends at the Funeral Home, 76 Main Street East, Ridgetown on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 – 9:00 pm. A Celebration of Barry’s Life will be held at a later date.
Donations made in memory of Barry to the A.L.L. For Kids Program would be appreciated.
