Peacefully but suddenly, surrounded by family at the Carleton Place Hospital on Monday April 22, 2019, in his 83rd year.
Beloved husband of June Lackey nee Laviolette. Predeceased by his son Ron. Loving and devoted father of Janice (David), Brian (Cathy), Karen (Mansoor), David (Ellie) and Eric (Hannah). Proud grandfather and great-grandfather. Son of the late Gordon Lackey and Beulah Comerford of Carleton Place. Will be lovingly remembered by his sister Diane (Colin) Lackey-Johnson. Remembered by the members of the Laviolette family and several nieces and nephews.
A Catholic Funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church 28 Hawthorne Street, Carleton Place, on Saturday, April 27, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Proud distinguished career with the Royal Canadian Airforce. The family would like to thank Dr. Roger Drake and Dr. David Stevenson and staff for their many years of care.
For those who wish, a donation to the Carleton Place Hospital Foundation or a charity of your choice would be appreciated by the family.
