MacDonald, Anthony Leo
“Tony”, age 49 of Antigonish passed away suddenly on
April 15, 2019 at home.
Born in Antigonish, he was a son of
the late Dougall and Alice (Dort) MacDonald.
Tony drove a taxi in Antigonish for
several years. He loved Scottish and Irish music and family
gatherings, and he also enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by his wife Rita
(Campbell); daughter, Jessica (Arthur) Pettipas, Antigonish; sons,
Michael (Dana); Andrew, Christopher, Jonathan, and Daniel, all of
Antigonish; and sisters, Helen (Dave) Stroud and Anne (Steve) Brow,
both of Antigonish.
Visitation will be in C.L. Curry
Funeral Home, 135 College Street, Antigonish on Wednesday from 2 to 4
and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held in St. Ninian Cathedral on
Thursday at 11:00 am with Reverend Donald MacGillivray presiding.
Burial in the parish cemetery at a later date.
Donations in memory may be made to St.
Martha’s Hospital Foundation or N.S. Heart and Stroke
